The National Insurance Institute of Israel is preparing for the distribution of benefits in September 2026, with several adjustments to the payment schedule due to the upcoming holidays.
In honor of Rosh Hashanah 5787, the payment date for unemployment and income support benefits for September has been moved to September 8, 2026.
Additionally, due to the Sukkot 5787 holiday, the payment of long-term benefits will be advanced to September 22, 2026. This includes the following:

The deadline for reporting and paying insurance contributions for the self-employed and employers remains September 15. Child allowances are expected to be deposited into recipients' accounts on September 20, the eve of Yom Kippur.
Since the beginning of 2026, the average benefit amount has increased by 2.64% due to the rise in the Consumer Price Index. Following the latest update, the average benefit amount across all categories is approximately 5,280 shekels.
