Attorney and mediator Yair Traibish, who specializes in the realization of medical rights and representing victims before the National Insurance Institute, the Rehabilitation Department, and pension funds, shared an update regarding significant news received by his client following a court decision determining a high disability rating.

This concerns a 21-year-old victim (born in July 2004), who just a few months prior had begun treatment following her military service.

According to the protocol of the regional medical committee of the Ministry of Defense's Rehabilitation Department, which convened at Beilinson Hospital, a temporary disability rating of 40% was set for the young woman for a period of 5 years from the date of recognition.

The committee set the disability percentage according to test clause 34 a (d-e) due to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) accompanied by significant symptoms and severe limitations. The validity of the decision is set until November 7, 2030.

Setting a 40% temporary disability rating in the Rehabilitation Department has immense economic significance for the young woman. Beyond a monthly stipend and tax exemption, the recognition grants eligibility for a comprehensive package:

  1. Full funding of tuition for an academic degree or vocational training.

  2. Monthly living expenses during studies.

  3. Full medical and psychological coverage.

In addition, the determination grants accompanying benefits such as discounts on municipal property tax (arnona), assistance with housing expenses, and fixed grants, intended to ensure her a financial safety net for the next five years.
