The Grenade War: Administrative arrest warrant issued against crime boss Yossi Musli

An administrative arrest warrant was filed yesterday against the head of the criminal organization Yossi Musli, as part of the ongoing conflict with the Jarushi crime family and following the mutual "grenade war" between the parties, with the "Japanika" restaurant chain at the center. Musli filed a request this morning, Tuesday, to cancel the warrant, but during the hearing, it was decided that the warrant would remain in effect until another hearing on Thursday.

Under the warrant, Musli is required to be under house arrest and is prohibited from contacting a large number of figures in the criminal world. Furthermore, he is prohibited from using the internet, banned from leaving the country, and subject to other restrictions. His defense attorney, Adv. Doron Noy from the law firm Noy, Sananes, Sperling, Hatzroni, stated:

"The request reflects the depth of the police failure. Instead of evidence to prove guilt — a restriction of liberty without evidence, like in a third-world country."

Just yesterday, a hand grenade was thrown in Holon, and in Tel Aviv, an unexploded grenade was found in a residential complex in the north. The day before, a fragmentation grenade was thrown at a restaurant in Rishon LeZion, and an explosion was heard at the scene, but there were no casualties. Police officers from the Rishon LeZion station have opened an investigation into the incident and are reviewing security cameras in the area.

Last month, the police arrested Musli, as well as an 18-year-old youth and two men in their 30s on suspicion of involvement in events related to the conflict between the crime families. Last November, in a precedent-setting move, crime boss Issam Jarushi was sent to prison after violating an administrative arrest warrant issued against him.
