Israeli Tourists and Protesters Clash Verbally in Kyoto, Japan
A verbal confrontation erupted in Kyoto, Japan, between local pro-Palestinian protesters and young Israeli tourists. Local police officers intervened to separate the groups and prevent further escalation.
A video circulated on social media platform X documents a confrontation that occurred on Sunday on the sidelines of a small demonstration in Kyoto, Japan, held under the banner "Stop the genocide in Gaza."
According to the footage, the protesters, mostly local Japanese citizens, encountered several young Israeli tourists who refused to remain silent in the face of the rally. One of the tourists made an offensive hand gesture (middle finger) at the protesters, while another shouted at them. In response, one of the demonstrators yelled back at the tourists, calling them "baby killers."
The protesters marched through the streets of Kyoto carrying signs reading "Stop the genocide in Gaza" and "Netanyahu is the new Hitler." The march, which included dozens of participants waving Palestinian flags, was escorted by local police officers. The confrontation with the Israeli tourists did not escalate further after local police intervened and separated the two groups.
