Great news for fans of "Shefa Issachar": the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation and production company July August Productions have decided to renew the hit sitcom "Kupa Rashit" for a seventh season, it was first reported this evening (Wednesday) in Maariv.
The decision was reached following lengthy negotiations and in light of the high viewership ratings and the unique cultural status the series has gained over the years, even before the upcoming sixth season hits the screen.
Sources involved in the production report that the development and scriptwriting phase for the seventh season has already begun. Since its initial broadcast on Kan Educational and later on Kan 11, "Kupa Rashit" has become a widespread cultural phenomenon, garnering impressive viewership figures on digital platforms and television, and even generating catchphrases that have integrated into everyday discourse.
The decision to renew the series for a seventh season cements its position as one of the longest-running and most influential comedies on Israeli television, alongside its success in cinemas with 900,000 viewers.
