British singer Jessie J has announced she is taking a break from the public eye, just days after wrapping up her first major tour in a decade. In an Instagram post on Monday, the 38-year-old artist shared that the past two years have been overwhelmingly busy, prompting her to focus on her offline life, family, and health.

Stepping Back from the Spotlight

"I want to open this post by saying I am okay," Jessie J wrote. "I am not at my best, but I am far from my lowest." She added that while the last two years were magical and life-changing, they were also "extremely overwhelming." The decision follows a whirlwind period that included releasing a new album, moving back to England from the United States, and co-parenting her 3-year-old son, Sky, with her ex-partner, former Israeli basketball player Hanan Safir Colman. Additionally, the singer has been quietly dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis received in the summer of 2025, from which she has since recovered.

Prioritizing Health and Recovery

Reflecting on the toll the recent years have taken, the singer stated she is preparing for a second reconstructive surgery related to her cancer treatment. She emphasized the need to recharge, heal, and be fully present for her child without the constant distraction of social media. "Digital detox, if you will," she concluded, thanking her loyal fans for their ongoing support throughout her journey.
