The national memorial ceremony organized by the Kumu movement and October 7 families will take place on Wednesday at Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv. Over 50,000 Israelis are expected to attend the event, with only a few thousand tickets remaining.

Ceremony host and freed hostage Eli Sharabi called on the Israeli public this morning to put divisions aside, attend the ceremony, and remember together. "This past weekend I was supposed to celebrate the birthdays of my daughters Noya and Yahel, children who brought light and joy to my life. Their memory, along with that of my wife Lian and my brother Yossi, of blessed memory, will be before my eyes as I host the ceremony," Sharabi stated.

The organizers are urging the public this year not to settle for local community screenings in cities, but to come to the park in person. For the first time, the event will be held in an open-park format without grandstands, allowing tens of thousands of Israelis to gather and unite in memory of the victims of October 7.
