Twelve contestants have returned to the MasterChef kitchen: the "dream team" received a second chance to fulfill their ambition and lift the coveted trophy. For Kosta Osadchy, a star of the show's eighth season, the journey ended sooner than expected after he received the lowest score in the elimination task. In an interview with Morning News, he shared what was different this time around and how he processed the judges' critiques.

"I am far from being hurt by the critiques," the cook said. "They won't make me throw away my knives and stop; I am quite the opposite. Criticism is criticism, and we accept it with love—we are not children."

"You can accept it or not. I accept their opinion, but I don't have to agree with it, and I didn't. It's okay, it happens, and everything is fine."

When asked what was different from his first time on the show, he explained: "I didn't come with the attitude of 'I will show them who I am.' When you enter a regular season, no one knows you, and you question what you are doing there. You come more to prove something to yourself."

Regarding whether it is scarier to compete when you have something to lose, he noted: "No, because I said in advance that I was coming for the experience, not with the attitude that I would beat everyone."

On the reputation of judge Yuval Ben Neriah, he added: "Yes, he is very tough; he sometimes gave the other judges a hard time as well."

Was it easier to digest the elimination this time? "I didn't come with the intention of being disappointed. After all, this is a season of 'losers'—none of us won the first time around."
