In January 2025, Minister of Education Yoav Kisch launched the "Kol L'Kulam" hotline, dialing *6312, to provide a dedicated address for students, parents, and educators dealing with social rejection, boycotts, and emotional hardships.
Behind the Initiative
Eliran Dahan is the driving force behind the establishment of the Ministry of Education's hotline. Formerly the CEO of the "Israelis Doing Justice" association, Dahan spent years combating school violence and boycotts. He explains how he and various professionals formulated a model for treating children experiencing social rejection, lobbying the government and the Ministry of Education to integrate it into the state response.
"The goal was to create a support track that ensures no child or family is left alone facing this reality—ranging from initial distress identification to connecting with school staff capable of driving social change within the classroom," organizers noted.
Operational Framework
Telephone support is provided by professionals from the Ministry of Education's Psychological and Counseling Service. Callers can share their experiences and receive guidance. When further intervention is necessary, and with the consent of the caller and parents, cases are referred to the school to build targeted intervention programs.
