Israeli Parties Receive State Election Funding Advances Ahead of Knesset Vote
Israeli political parties have received state election funding advances totaling millions of shekels. Likud secured 37 million shekels, while Yesh Atid received 32 million as parties prepare for the upcoming Knesset elections.
Knesset Parties Receive Election Advances
Political parties in Israel have recently received substantial election funding advances from the state treasury ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections. The total allocations reflect current parliamentary representation and new electoral alliances forming across the political spectrum.
The New Hope party, originally founded by Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, received an election advance totaling 5.8 million shekels. Following Sa'ar's return to the Likud party, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reserved the 9th spot on the Likud electoral list for Taliq Goili, the mother of fallen soldier Ran Goili, representing New Hope. Consequently, the party received 1.463 million shekels for each of its four outgoing Knesset members: Gideon Sa'ar, Ze'ev Elkin, Sharren Haskel, and Michel Buskila.
Major Allocations and Party Standings
Among the established factions currently serving in the Knesset, the Likud received a major advance of 37 million shekels, after deductions for past debts. Meanwhile, Yesh Atid, running alongside Naftali Bennett's faction, secured 32 million shekels, and Shas received 16.14 million shekels.

Blue and White (led by Benny Gantz): 9.7 million shekels. Despite struggling to clear the electoral threshold in recent polls, Gantz has announced he will remain in the race until the end.

New parties were required to present bank guarantees as a condition for receiving advances to cover potential failure to cross the electoral threshold. The Yashar! party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, received an initial advance of 3.67 million shekels, with potential supplementary funding up to 18.6 million shekels pending additional guarantees. Meanwhile, Achiezer, the party led by Gilad Erdan, received a 2.35 million shekel advance, though Erdan subsequently announced that his party would not contest the upcoming elections.
