Authorities stated that there is an immediate danger to the missing woman's life, prompting extensive searches by large police forces and volunteers in open areas around Mevaseret Zion. Police indicated that a criminal background is suspected in the disappearance.
The missing woman's son sharply criticized the police handling of the case, claiming that meaningful searches began too late and alleging a disparity in the urgency shown by law enforcement compared to cases involving Jewish citizens. The family has called for the involvement of the Shin Bet security agency to expedite the search efforts.
