A severe video footage circulated on social media showing an elderly Arab man being brutally attacked for no apparent reason by ultra-Orthodox youths near the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem's Old City. In the footage, the man attempts to flee, but the youths continue to chase him for a long time, knocking him to the ground repeatedly. At this hour, no arrests have been made regarding the incident.
Earlier this week, days after Channel 13 revealed the complaint regarding the assault in Jerusalem of William, a 9-year-old Christian child during Yom Kippur, a suspect was arrested. William's family filed a complaint stating he was attacked with pepper spray by an extremist, but police closed the case almost immediately before reversing their decision and launching an investigation following public exposure.
In an interview with Channel 13, William recounted the moments of terror and expressed fear of being attacked again, noting that since the harsh incident he wears a helmet when returning from school. "I just want him to be in prison," William said, describing how he was sprayed while riding his bicycle after being signaled to lower his music.
