Herzliya Police and Municipality Conduct Joint Security Operation and Arrest Suspect
Herzliya police and municipal forces conducted a joint security operation, inspecting over 120 vehicles, issuing micromobility fines, and arresting a car theft suspect.
The Security Department of the Herzliya Municipality, alongside the Glilot Police, municipal policing units, and neighborhood watch volunteers, conducted a joint enforcement operation across the city on Monday. The initiative aimed to enhance personal security, increase field presence, and prevent crime.
During the operation, checkpoints were established, and roughly 80 vehicles and 45 two-wheeled vehicles were inspected. Officers issued 28 fines related to micromobility offenses, with 3 issued by Israel Police officers and 25 by municipal inspectors.
Following a report of an attempted vehicle theft, officers arrested a suspect on charges of vehicle break-in and possession of burglary tools. The arrest was carried out after police and municipal units spotted the suspect attempting to flee. Following a foot pursuit, he was detained by a municipal inspector and subsequently arrested by the police.
Herzliya Mayor Yariv Fisher stated: "Ensuring the security of Herzliya residents is a core mission for us, and we are utilizing all available means to strengthen it." Fisher praised the cooperation between the police, municipal security, and volunteers, expressing gratitude for their professional work.
