An anti-Israel incident occurred in Northern Italy when Israeli tourists visiting a restaurant in Limone Sul Garda were verbally abused and expelled after asking for the Wi-Fi password. According to the tourists, the waiter shouted, "You are animals, you kill children," while management ignored the abuse and called the police.

Antisemitic Incident at Lake Garda

Writing in a Facebook group for travelers in Northern Italy, Gaeut Hazan detailed the harrowing experience. She warned fellow travelers to avoid the Jacky restaurant, explaining that asking for network access was met with hostile political rhetoric. Although the responding police officers were polite and apologized on behalf of the locals, the restaurant staff showed no remorse.

"We were attacked on antisemitic grounds at a restaurant—do not go there," Hazan wrote, sharing a photo of the waiter involved.

Rising Hostility in Italy

This incident follows a series of antisemitic and anti-Israel occurrences across Italy. In July, a document circulated urging citizens to report the presence of Israeli businesses and tourists, drawing sharp condemnation from the Union of Italian Jewish Communities. Additional cases include the exclusion of a Jewish LGBTQ+ organization from Rome's Pride parade and reports of tourists facing harassment from lodging providers.
