Israir Airlines, controlled by businessman Rami Levy, is accelerating its expansion strategy by signing a binding memorandum of understanding with an international lessor to acquire an Airbus A320-200 aircraft. The aircraft, bearing serial number MSN 7110 and registration 4X-ABI, is equipped with two IAE V2527-A5 engines and is already operating within the company's fleet under a long-term dry lease.

The price tag for the acquisition is set at approximately $17.05 million. According to the planned schedule, the final closing of the transaction is expected to take place during November 2026, pending the signing of a definitive sale and purchase agreement (SPA). In addition to the purchase cost, Israir is expected to invest an estimated $10 million in a full engine overhaul during the second half of 2027.

Israir management views the move as a strategic financial step demonstrating the company's robust business standing. According to management estimates, shifting the aircraft from lease to full ownership will save the company about $3 million annually in cash flow and increase profitability by up to $1 million each year.

The acquisition aligns directly with Israir's long-term growth plan toward 2030, which targets an advanced fleet of 10 narrow-body aircraft, at least 5 wide-body aircraft, and 2 private jets, aiming to transport 3.5 million passengers annually.

Simultaneously, Israir launched an aggressive flash sale titled "CRAZY WEEKEND". The promotion offers one-way flights to Europe starting at $99 and vacation packages starting at $259 per person, running through Sunday, November 8, 2026.
