Israel Railways Halts Tel Aviv-Lod Service Due to Suspicious Object
Train traffic between Tel Aviv HaHagana and Lod was temporarily halted due to a suspicious object near Ganot. Israel Railways also announced upcoming disruptions in the north.

Train traffic between Tel Aviv HaHagana and Lod stations was temporarily halted this morning following police instructions due to a suspicious object found near the tracks in the Ganot area, according to Israel Railways.
In an official statement, Israel Railways announced that services would resume only after receiving clearance from the police. Commuters traveling through the central region faced immediate delays as security forces secured the perimeter.
This incident follows recent announcements by Israel Railways regarding upcoming temporary schedule disruptions in Haifa and the north. Services at stations north of Haifa Hof HaCarmel will be suspended on October 9, 2026, and October 16, 2026, to accommodate infrastructure works for the Nofit light rail project carried out by the Cross-Israel Highway company.
During these scheduled closures, stations including Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Merkaz HaShmona, HaMifratz Central, Hutzot HaMifratz, Kiryat Haim, Kiryat Motzkin, Acre, Nahariya, Ahihud, Karmiel, Yokneam-Kefar HaHoresh, Migdal HaEmek-Kefar Baruch, Afula, and Beit Shean will temporarily suspend passenger services.
