A fundraising campaign has been launched for the two-month-old infant of Yanina Rosinova, a 31-year-old woman murdered in Haifa. Lily Ben Ami of the Michal Sela Forum published the appeal on Facebook, sharing a PayBox link titled "Helping Yanina's Family."
According to Ben Ami, all funds raised will be transferred to the baby's grandmother in Belarus exclusively for the child's welfare. The campaign is managed by family friend Vsevolod Buchshtab from Rishon LeZion.
The tragic murder occurred on the night between Thursday and Friday, September 25. Rosinova was found near her home on HaAtzmaut Street in downtown Haifa with critical stab wounds. She was rushed to Rambam Health Care Campus while undergoing resuscitation, where doctors pronounced her dead.
Her 28-year-old husband, Ali Maswada, was arrested on suspicion of murder. While initial investigations explored several directions, suspicion of murder has since strengthened. Maswada denies the allegations, and his remand has been extended until October 7. Yanina's mother, Anna, who lives in Belarus, has expressed her wish to raise her grandson.
Following the tragedy, the infant was placed in temporary emergency foster care. The Haifa Municipality stated that welfare authorities acted immediately to protect the child. Authorities have contacted the grandmother in Belarus to inform her of the situation as court proceedings continue.
