The Israel Innovation Authority has officially opened the tender process to select its next CEO, as the nation's tech sector navigates a period of profound global transformation. Driven by the rapid acceleration of artificial intelligence, escalating international competition for capital, and shifting labor markets, the incoming chief executive will face complex demands.

Strategic Challenges Ahead

The new leadership will be tasked with steering research, development, and technological innovation across Israeli industries. Key responsibilities include investing in groundbreaking technologies, supporting the evolving needs of the high-tech sector, and preserving Israel's comparative advantage as a global innovation leader.

Dr. Alon Stopel, Chairman of the Israel Innovation Authority, stated:

With the departure of outgoing CEO Dror Bin, we are launching a process to find the next leader to guide the Authority through one of the most critical periods for Israel's high-tech industry. High-tech is a central growth engine of the Israeli economy, and human capital is the State of Israel's most vital resource.

Tender Requirements and Timeline

A dedicated search committee, chaired by Dr. Stopel and composed of Innovation Authority council members, will evaluate candidates. Applications are open until October 11, 2026, at 13:00. Candidates must demonstrate deep familiarity with the global and domestic high-tech ecosystem, executive management experience, and the ability to operate across government, private, and international sectors.
