Israel Bidur Parent Company Announces Major Investment in Micro-Dramas
Israel Bidur's parent company is investing millions of shekels in micro-drama and short-form video productions for social media throughout 2027, following a recent acquisition by the Merit fund.

Three months after Assaf Rappaport acquired a 60% stake in Z Platform, the parent company of Israel Bidur, through the Merit fund at a valuation of 80 million shekels, the group is announcing ambitious new plans. Throughout 2027, an investment of millions of shekels is planned for short content productions and micro-dramas, with work on several formats already underway.
Expanding into Short-Form Video
The formats are specifically designed for social media consumption, and operations will be centralized under a dedicated department headed by Yael Filipovitch. Filipovitch previously led video production and managed the company's TikTok platform, and will now also spearhead the shorts and micro-drama sector.
"The goal is to produce quality content that strengthens the connection with the audience and the brand, while simultaneously developing business models around it, from branded content to commercial partnerships and media," said David Anulik, CEO of Israel Bidur.
New Projects and Commercial Flexibility
The company has already tasted success on social networks with a short reality format titled "Israel Shiduch," which racked up roughly 35 million views on Instagram and TikTok, with a second season slated to film soon. Additionally, the group is launching a new docu-reality starring Michal HaKatan and Yehuda Buhbut with an investment of hundreds of thousands of shekels.
Market experts note that the micro-drama sector has gained considerable momentum in Israel over the past year. Because the market lacks rigid television regulations, it offers high commercial flexibility, often backed by commercial partners who fund the production and drive revenue.
