Israeli Ambassador to Thailand Dr. Alona Fisher-Kamm addressed the escalating crisis in an interview with ynet following a massive protest outside the Israeli embassy in Bangkok and a new poll showing 77% of Thais support harsher law enforcement against Israelis.

"There is no doubt we have a serious problem here. We must admit it," the ambassador acknowledged, pointing to disruptive behavior by some travelers, including shouting, arguing, and loud music late at night. Fisher-Kamm noted a dramatic 40% surge in Israeli tourists between 2024 and 2025, which has increased friction and visibility on the ground.

Alongside the legitimate criticism, Fisher-Kamm warned of a coordinated social media campaign featuring fake news, exaggerated incidents, and antisemitic content intertwined with "Free Palestine" slogans during tourism protests.
