Giant investment in Israel: A new $15 million project

The Aman Group and the company Informatica, part of Salesforce, have signed a strategic agreement to establish a POD (Point of Delivery) in Israel, with an investment of approximately $15 million. The move is expected to strengthen data management infrastructure in Israel and enable public and business organizations to manage their data in a local environment.
One of the key components in establishing the infrastructure is maintaining data sovereignty. The POD is designed to allow organizational data to remain within Israel, without being transferred to servers outside the country. This may be particularly significant for entities that hold sensitive information and are required to comply with strict information security and data management requirements.
This move comes after the Informatica platform was approved as part of the "Nimbus" tender, the government tender for organizational data management in the cloud. Following the approval, government ministries and public bodies will be able to use the company's data management solutions in the government cloud environment.
The new infrastructure is also expected to serve as a foundation for projects in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). As part of the activity, organizations will be able to manage, consolidate, improve, secure, and govern their data locally. The need for this is growing as organizations adopt AI systems, which rely on high-quality and managed data for generating insights and decision-making.
For Aman, the move represents a significant expansion of the cooperation with Informatica, which it represents in Israel. The international company specializes in solutions for data management, integration, and security, and its technology is intended for organizations seeking to base AI processes and applications on a reliable data infrastructure.
Yanai Milstein, Director of Informatica operations in Israel and VP of Software Solutions at the Aman Group, said:
