Israeli security forces arrested six wanted terror suspects, including Hamas operatives, during overnight counter-terrorism raids in the West Bank, guided by intelligence from the Shin Bet.

The operation formed part of an ongoing counter-terrorism sweep in the Judea Regional Brigade area, launched following a deadly clash last weekend that claimed the lives of two IDF soldiers.

Undercover Border Police officers operated across multiple locations, including Dura, the al-Fawar refugee camp, Bani Naim, and Dahariya. The suspects are accused of involvement in terrorist activities, planning attacks, and advancing militant plots. Following their arrest, they were transferred to the Shin Bet for further interrogation.

Concurrently, IDF troops conducting sweeps in Hebron uncovered and confiscated weapons, including an M16 rifle, knives, tactical vests, a replica handgun, and additional military equipment. The expanded military sweep in the Judea sector was initiated after a Friday firefight with terrorists that killed Staff Sergeant Ron Yonatan Roitman and Sergeant Yuval Shay Soylem, while leaving three other soldiers lightly wounded.

An official IDF statement emphasized that security forces will maintain proactive operations to thwart terrorism throughout the West Bank and protect residents. However, military sources noted that the Hebron operation has largely achieved its operational objectives. During the sweep, forces uncovered a twenty-meter-deep shaft in the courtyard of one of the terrorists' homes, which officials assessed to be a weapons cache rather than an operational tunnel.
