IDF and Shin Bet Raid Illegal Terror Fronts in Ramallah and Yatta
IDF and Shin Bet forces raided illegal front organizations in Ramallah and Yatta, arresting five operatives linked to Hamas and the PFLP and seizing terror funds.
IDF and Shin Bet Target Illegal Fronts in West Bank
Security forces completed two targeted operations against illegal "charitable" organizations in Ramallah and Yatta, which served as front offices for terror groups, arresting five operatives cooperating with Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
In a joint operation by the IDF and Shin Bet, security forces raided the offices of the Addameer association in Ramallah. During the raid, wanted suspects were arrested, and computers, documents, and checkbooks bearing insignia of designated Hamas funds were confiscated.
The Addameer association is financed by terror funds and operates to provide legal aid to PFLP terrorists imprisoned in Israel. Some operatives working in the association took part in the August 23, 2019 bombing at Ein Bubin (Danny Spring), in which Rina Schnerb was murdered.
Crackdown on Hamas Financial Networks in Yatta
In a separate operation targeting incitement and terror hubs, IDF forces directed by the Shin Bet raided the offices of the Islamic Association for Orphan Care in the town of Yatta in the Judea regional brigade area. Wanted suspects were detained and items bearing Hamas-linked fund insignia were seized.
The association, designated as an unlawful association, served as an organizational and financial arm of Hamas, funneling money to the terror group and supporting families of terrorists and prisoners. The director of the association and other senior members are former Hamas operatives who had previously served prison time.
The IDF stated: "Security forces will operate proactively and offensively to thwart terrorism throughout the West Bank and will work to bring to justice any terrorist acting to harm citizens of the State of Israel and the security forces."
