IDF and FIDF Launch 8 Million Shekel Holiday Voucher Campaign for Soldiers
The Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers and FIDF are distributing over 8 million shekels in gift vouchers to 12,000 lone soldiers and struggling families ahead of the High Holidays.
Ahead of the Jewish High Holidays, the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers and Friends of the IDF (FIDF) have launched a major support campaign to distribute gift vouchers totaling more than 8 million shekels to IDF soldiers and military widows facing financial hardship. The initiative is designed to ease holiday expenses and allow eligible individuals to observe the period with dignity.
As part of the aid distribution, 12,000 lone soldiers and soldiers eligible for living allowance support will receive gift vouchers worth 500 shekels each, thanks to a donation of approximately 6 million shekels from the FIDF organization. In addition, another donation of roughly 2 million shekels from donors in Canada will be dedicated to gift vouchers of the same value for families of soldiers in complex socio-economic conditions, based on criteria and needs pre-defined by the IDF.
Liron Donel, CEO of FIDF in Israel, stated: "It is especially important for us to be there for IDF soldiers, particularly lone soldiers and those facing financial difficulties. The assistance is intended to ease their burden during this period and allow them to observe the holiday with dignity and a sense of belonging."
Eyal Allouk, CEO of the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers, added: "The response ahead of the holiday is another way to ease, strengthen, and remind the soldiers that they are not alone. We extend our deepest gratitude to our donors and partners in Israel and around the world who enable us to reach thousands of soldiers."
