The Israel Defense Forces conducted a targeted strike in southern Lebanon on Wednesday afternoon near the village of Qabrikha in the Beaufort sector. Troops operating under the 36th Division identified two operatives approaching the Yellow Line. In response, the military scrambled an Israeli Air Force drone that fired several missiles, destroying the motorcycle and killing both individuals.

This marks the first enforcement action involving live fire against Hezbollah operatives nearing the Yellow Line in several weeks. According to military assessments, the operation sends a clear signal to Hezbollah and Iran that Israel remains determined to prevent unauthorized movements near the sensitive zone. Officials noted the strike also serves as a warning to Tehran against attempting to unify regional fronts in the event of any potential escalation.

The development follows remarks by Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, who stressed that his government will not permit armed factions outside official state control to drag Lebanon into new conflicts. Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts between Israel and Lebanon remain deadlocked over enforcement mechanisms in southern test zones. Beirut opposes an Israeli proposal involving non-governmental organizations, while Israel rejects a Lebanese push to rely on United Nations observers.
