IAF Strikes Hamas Weapons Depots Near Shifa Hospital in Gaza Strip
The Israeli Air Force struck Hamas weapons depots near Shifa Hospital following precise intelligence, as the IDF also eliminated a Hamas operative in northern Gaza.
The Israeli Air Force struck Hamas weapons depots near the Shifa Hospital in the central Gaza Strip on Tuesday afternoon. Prior to the strike, the IDF issued evacuation warnings to residents of buildings adjacent to the hospital. The munitions launched by air force jets did not impact the hospital complex.
The strike near Shifa was carried out following precise intelligence indicating that Hamas was using the area to rebuild its fire capabilities and store large quantities of weapons.
This is not the first time Hamas has utilized hospital grounds. In the past, the terrorist organization established headquarters and operations rooms beneath Shifa Hospital. Furthermore, the central headquarters of Mohammed Sinwar and Hamas's Rafah Brigade were located beneath the European Hospital in Khan Younis. Hamas assumes that hospital areas or their immediate surroundings may receive protection from air force strikes.
Earlier today, at approximately 12:30, the air force struck a Hamas operative in Sheikh Radwan in the northern Gaza Strip. The strike was carried out as part of targeted counterterrorism operations conducted by the Shin Bet and the IDF. This marks the 15th targeted strike carried out by the IDF in Gaza over the past week.
