Teacher Wounded in Hura School Shooting Amid Wave of Violence
A teacher was shot at a school parking lot in Hura, joining a wave of recent violent shooting incidents across Tiberias, Tamra, and Nazareth investigated by police.

MDA (Magen David Adom) teams who arrived at the scene provided medical treatment and evacuated him to Soroka Medical Center in moderate condition. The background to the incident is unclear.

Earlier this week, two men were shot in the city of Tamra. According to the police, the two were evacuated to the hospital, one in serious condition and the other in critical condition. Last week, Muhammad Bayatra was shot dead in Nazareth. MDA teams summoned to the scene provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to the Italian Hospital in the city in critical condition, while performing resuscitation efforts. His death was later pronounced.
Senior MDA motorcycle unit paramedic Alaa al-Din Bashir recounted: "When we arrived at the scene, we were led to the man who was unconscious, pulseless, and breathless. We immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts that included ventilations and administration of drugs, and evacuated him in an MDA mobile intensive care unit while performing resuscitation efforts to the hospital in critical condition."
The police launched an investigation into the shooting. Officers were dispatched to the scene and began sweeps to locate suspects, alongside investigating the circumstances of the case. The police stated that the background to the incident is criminal and the circumstances are being investigated.
