More than three years after a violent armed robbery at an apartment on Degania Street in Holon, investigators from the Tel Aviv District Central Unit (YAMAR) have arrested the third suspect in the case. The 42-year-old West Bank resident had been on the run since the August 2023 incident and was declared a fugitive.

The Armed Robbery in Holon

The incident took place on August 14, 2023, when several suspects arrived at the apartment of a 37-year-old resident on Degania Street in Holon. According to the police, the suspects posed as police officers and presented a fake search warrant to gain entry into the apartment.

Once inside, the suspects handcuffed the apartment owner, threatened him with a handgun, and subjected him to severe violence while demanding access to a safe. Investigators found that the perpetrators stole luxury watches, jewelry, and cash totaling more than one million shekels before fleeing the scene.

Arrest and Ongoing Investigation

Following the robbery, an intensive investigation was launched by the Tel Aviv District YAMAR. Two suspects were arrested in August 2023, and the Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office subsequently filed serious indictments against them. However, the third suspect managed to escape, prompting a judicial arrest warrant.

"The suspect was apprehended during an IDF operation in the West Bank and transferred to investigators for further interrogation," police stated.

On Sunday, during an IDF operation, the fugitive was captured. He was transferred via the Hashmonaim checkpoint to Modi'in Illit police officers and subsequently handed over to Tel Aviv YAMAR investigators. The Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court extended his detention until October 22 as the investigation continues.
