Three Israelis Fabricate Kidnapping Report After Entering Palestinian Village
Three Jerusalem residents voluntarily entered the Palestinian village of Hizma for leisure, then fabricated a kidnapping report out of fear, triggering an emergency IDF and police rescue operation.
Early Sunday morning, a 15-year-old Israeli citizen called the police emergency hotline, claiming that he and his friends had been kidnapped and taken to a Palestinian village. The report triggered a large-scale security mobilization.
A subsequent investigation revealed that the three individuals had entered the Palestinian territory voluntarily.
Emergency Mobilization and Rescue
Following the call to the "100" emergency dispatch, Jerusalem District operators immediately alerted forces from the Judea and Samaria (Shai) District, the IDF, and other security agencies. Utilizing advanced technological and operational tracking methods, officers from the Binyamin police station quickly located the individuals safe and unharmed near the village of Hizma.
The group consisted of two 15-year-old minors and a 40-year-old adult, all residents of Jerusalem. They were immediately taken to the police station for questioning.
Voluntary Entry and False Report
The police investigation revealed that the three Israelis had entered the Palestinian village of their own free will for leisure purposes. After entering, they became frightened and decided to fabricate the kidnapping story to prompt a swift rescue by security forces.
All three suspects were interrogated on charges of delivering a false report—a felony-level offense—and violating a legal order prohibiting entry into Palestinian-controlled areas. Following their interrogation, they were brought before a court and released under restrictive conditions as the investigation continues.
