Northern District police officers arrested a man carrying a fragmentation grenade while riding an unnumbered ATV in the Upper Galilee village of Jish (Gush Halav).

The suspect was apprehended during an operational activity when officers spotted an ATV carrying two riders entering the village without license plates and with its lights turned off. These suspicious circumstances prompted officers to intercept the vehicle and check the two riders. During a search of one of the suspects, officers discovered a fragmentation grenade concealed inside a bag hidden within his hooded sweatshirt, alongside a pair of gloves.

The two suspects, aged 21 and 23, residents of Jish and Haifa, were arrested at the scene and taken in for further questioning. The Northern District Prosecutor's Office is expected to file an indictment against the suspect carrying the grenade on charges of carrying and transporting a fragmentation grenade.
