Clashes and Protests Across France
Incidents of violence were reported in several locations. In Saint-Denis, a northern suburb of Paris, students gathered near a fire set outside school gates. Protesters threw objects at police in several areas, leading to dozens of injuries among students and staff.
"There are cockroaches and rats everywhere in the school, and temperatures swing from unbearable heat to freezing cold," said Fadila, a 17-year-old student.
Political Repercussions
Government officials and conservative politicians have condemned the violence, accusing the left-wing party La France Insoumise (LFI) of stoking unrest. Meanwhile, public sector workers are demanding higher wages and better resources to counter inflation.
