Urgent Recall Issued for Floraline Grain Mix in Israel Over Toxin Fears
R.B.A. Import and Export issued a recall for Floraline cooking grain mix in Israel due to ergot alkaloid contamination exceeding regulatory thresholds.
R.B.A. Import and Export Ltd., the official Israeli importer of French brand Floraline, issued an urgent recall on Tuesday for a 500-gram package of cooking grain mix due to natural toxin contamination.
The recalled product, a durum wheat semolina and tapioca blend, was found to contain ergot alkaloids exceeding regulatory safety limits during a routine manufacturer inspection. The affected batches carry lot number L5071O, an expiration date of December 31, 2028, and barcode 3177960003611.
Consumers possessing the product are advised to refrain from consumption and contact customer service at +972 54-357-9451 for a full refund. The company is currently withdrawing the items from store shelves in coordination with the Central District Food Service of the Ministry of Health.
Medical experts note that ergot alkaloids can trigger adverse health effects, including gastrointestinal distress, neurological symptoms such as cramps, and severe vasoconstriction impacting the cardiovascular system.
