The Fattal Hotel Group is expanding its presence in Athens by launching its second hotel in the Greek capital: the Leonardo Hotel Athens City Center. Previously operating as the Great Athens Hotel, the property has completed a rebranding process, joining the existing NYX Esperia Palace hotel in Athens.

Located on Veranzerou Street near Omonia Square and major shopping districts, the nine-story hotel features 117 modern rooms and suites. Its rooftop highlights include a designed garden, a swimming pool, and a bar offering panoramic views of the Athenian skyline and the Acropolis.

This move brings Fattal's portfolio in Greece to five active hotels. Roni Aloni, CEO of Leonardo/Fattal in the Mediterranean region, noted that the company intends to continue its massive expansion. "Athens is one of the most sought-after cities in Europe. In the near period, we will continue to expand our operations with additional hotels in Greece and Cyprus, alongside entering new destinations in the Mediterranean basin such as Montenegro, Croatia, and Albania," he stated.

This Greek expansion is part of the chain's aggressive acquisition campaign across Europe. Recently, Fattal and Israel Canada Hotels capitalized on turmoil in the European tourism sector and cash flow difficulties of the German Revo Group by acquiring operating rights for 15 hotels in Germany and the Netherlands for a total of approximately 40 million euros.
