Dolgopyat and Berkovitz Reach Historic Floor Final at World Championships
Artem Dolgopyat and Noam Berkovitz make history as the first Israeli duo to reach the floor exercise final at the World Championships in Rotterdam.

A historic moment for Israeli gymnastics as Artem Dolgopyat and Noam Berkovitz compete in the floor exercise final at the World Championships in Rotterdam, marking the first time an Israeli duo has achieved this feat in the same competition. Dolgopyat, one of Israel's most decorated athletes, aims to add another medal to his illustrious career, while Berkovitz, competing in his debut senior year, seeks to cap off a remarkable performance with an exceptional achievement.
Dolgopyat, the Tokyo Olympic champion and Paris silver medalist who also holds world and European titles, secured his spot in the final after finishing third in the qualifications with a score of 14.300 points. Berkovitz delivered an equally impressive performance, placing seventh with 14.033 points to earn his ticket to the prestigious final during his very first year at the senior level.
The mission will not be easy for the Israeli duo. Arseniy Dukhanov topped the qualification round with a score of 14.700 points, followed by Carlos Yulo of the Philippines with 14.500. Yulo, the reigning Olympic champion who edged Dolgopyat at the Paris 2024 Games, remains a top threat alongside British reigning world champion Jake Jarman. The final lineup also features American Frederick Richard, Russian Yegor Shramkov, and Japanese Ryosuke Doi.
According to the International Gymnastics Federation, the floor exercise opens the apparatus finals at 15:00 Israel time. Dolgopyat will be the first gymnast to perform his routine, Berkovitz will take the floor fifth, and Jarman will close the competition knowing the scores set by all his rivals.
