For the first time since they married in a private civil ceremony in Portugal last week, Cristiano Ronaldo (41) and Georgina Rodriguez (32) were spotted with their five children in the VIP box at the Al-Awwal Park stadium in Riyadh. Rodriguez was seen holding their 8-year-old daughter Alana, while the twins, Eva and Mateo (9), watched the game beside her. Ronaldo himself looked tense, though he was seen clapping at one point.
The family appeared at the Al-Nassr match against Al-Fateh in the Saudi league, which the Portuguese footballer had missed due to his absence from pre-season games following his participation in the World Cup and his trip to Portugal to marry Georgina. He returned to team training only a few days before the match. The couple announced their wedding on social media by sharing photos of their rings, marking the culmination of a decade-long relationship and a year after their engagement.
Ronaldo's representative confirmed that the civil ceremony in Cascais was an intimate moment attended only by their children. Other relatives, including Ronaldo's mother, Dolores, and his three siblings — Hugo, Elma, and Katia — were not present at the small event. Portuguese media published a copy of the marriage certificate, revealing that only four witnesses were present alongside the couple's children. Reports suggest that the family learned of the wedding only shortly before it took place, which is expected to cause significant friction.
However, despite missing the ceremony, Ronaldo's mother, who has previously had to deny reports of a strained relationship with her daughter-in-law, congratulated the couple by posting a red heart in response to the wedding ring photo. His sister did the same. The witnesses at the ceremony were Georgina's sister, Ivana, Ronaldo's long-time friend Miguel Paixão, and a Spanish couple, José Rodríguez Sangil and Mónica González Martínez.
It is worth noting that the couple, who have been together since 2016, signed a prenuptial agreement on August 10, the day before the ceremony, at a notary office in Lisbon, stipulating that their assets would remain separate.
