Bitcoin and Ethereum Gain in 24 Hours Despite Weekly Crypto Market Declines
Cryptocurrency markets showed a mixed trend on Wednesday as Bitcoin and Ethereum gained over 24 hours but dropped weekly. BNB outperformed peers with gains across both timeframes.

The cryptocurrency market presented a mixed picture on Wednesday, with most major digital assets recording gains over the past 24 hours while weekly performance indicated lingering downward pressure. According to market data recorded at 15:20, Bitcoin and Ethereum strengthened, while BNB outperformed the other coins analyzed.
Bitcoin, the world's largest digital asset by market capitalization, traded at $80,690.30 following a daily increase of 0.84%. Its market capitalization stood at $1.62 trillion, highlighting the vast gap between it and the other assets on the list. However, over the weekly timeframe, Bitcoin posted a 3.33% decline, meaning the daily gain did not erase the weakness recorded in recent days. Despite the weekly drop, its market capitalization remains several times higher than that of Ethereum.
Ethereum also registered a daily increase of 0.73%, bringing its price to $2,339.15 and its market capitalization to $285.45 billion. Looking at the weekly performance, however, a less encouraging picture emerges: Ethereum lost 5.26% of its value, marking the sharpest weekly decline among the six currencies in the dataset.
Drawing particular attention was BNB, which climbed 1.56% over the past 24 hours to reach $754 with a market capitalization of $99.17 billion. Unlike Bitcoin and Ethereum, BNB also recorded a positive weekly return of 1.17%, making it the only volatile asset on the list to show gains across both timeframes. Its daily increase exceeded Bitcoin's by 0.72 percentage points and Ethereum's by 0.83 percentage points.
The XRP token traded at $1.3168 after adding 0.40% over the past day, with a market capitalization estimated at $83.25 billion. Over the past seven days, however, it registered a 3.05% decline, reflecting a gap between daily trading improvements and cumulative weekly results.
In the stablecoin sector, changes were exceptionally moderate. Tether USDT traded at $0.9989 with no daily percentage change and a weekly drop of 0.03%, boasting a market capitalization of $182.22 billion. Meanwhile, USDC traded at $1.0012, dipping 0.01% over both the daily and weekly periods, with a market capitalization of $71.17 billion.
