Hostage survivor Rom Braslavski released a powerful video condemning government silence over the suicide of over 120 IDF combat veterans with PTSD since October 7.
Hostage survivor Rom Braslavski has released an emotional and powerful video protesting the public and governmental silence regarding the untreated mental health struggles of IDF combat veterans and trauma survivors.
In the video, shared widely on social media, Braslavski addressed reports of a tragic wave in which six combat veterans took their own lives in less than a week.
"It is with great sorrow that I share this," Braslavski said in the video. "Over 120 combat soldiers with PTSD have committed suicide since October 7. We, the hostage survivors, are here thanks to the soldiers who entered Gaza and fought to rescue us - and we are silent, the state is silent. Does that make sense to anyone?".
Braslavski sharply criticized elected officials, directing an urgent call to members of the Knesset and the general public: "Stop focusing on nonsense and trivialities and start taking care of our combat veterans. Raise your voices for the soldiers you sent into battle and are now abandoning." He concluded by vowing to continue fighting and refusing to remain silent until all combat veterans and hostage survivors receive the full medical and psychological care they deserve.
