19-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Ashdod Stabbing Incident

Israel Police launched an investigation following a severe stabbing incident on Shlomo Ben Yosef Street in Ashdod. A 19-year-old man was seriously injured and evacuated to Assuta Hospital in the city for medical treatment.
According to Magen David Adom (MDA), a report was received at 21:45 at the 101 emergency dispatch center regarding a wounded person from a violent incident. MDA medics and paramedics provided life-saving medical treatment at the scene before evacuating him in an intensive care ambulance to the trauma room.
Police forces arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and initiated searches in the area. Authorities stated that the background to the incident is suspected to be criminal.
