Kiryat Malachi Police Arrest Suspect in Bnei Ayish Voucher Theft
Police in Kiryat Malachi arrested a local resident suspected of stealing holiday food vouchers worth 2,250 shekels from the welfare department offices in Bnei Ayish.
During the holiday season, municipal welfare departments distribute holiday vouchers to assist needy families. However, according to police suspicions in Kiryat Malachi, a suspect broke into the welfare department offices in Bnei Ayish on Tuesday night and stole food vouchers intended for vulnerable populations.
Officers from the Kiryat Malachi police station launched an investigation following a report from the Bnei Ayish welfare department stating that envelopes containing food vouchers worth approximately 2,250 shekels in total had been stolen. Police tracked down the suspect, a local resident, and arrested him for questioning.
The station commander stated:
«This involves property meant to assist families in need, and therefore we view the suspicion of its theft with the utmost gravity. Station officers acted quickly and decisively to locate the suspect and recover the property, and we will continue working to bring anyone who harms the property and security of area residents to justice.»
