Ayalon CEO Sharon Reich Praises Israel's Economic Resilience Amid Global Uncertainty
Ayalon Insurance and Finance CEO Sharon Reich highlighted Israel's economic resilience during Calcalist's Investment Week, noting strong macroeconomic indicators despite ongoing multi-front conflicts.
Sharon Reich, CEO of Ayalon Insurance and Finance, addressed global and domestic economic challenges during the Calcalist Investment Week. He highlighted that despite global uncertainties, high debt-to-GDP ratios in the US and Europe, and ongoing multi-front conflicts, the Israeli economy demonstrates remarkable resilience.
Economic Resilience and Market Stability
Reich pointed out that Israel's macroeconomic fundamentals remain exceptionally strong. Key indicators such as the debt-to-GDP ratio, a robust shekel, low unemployment, and a thriving high-tech sector continue to anchor the nation's financial stability.
"Israel is truly a unique phenomenon. Despite the war on several fronts, uncertainty, and disputes, Israel's cold factors showed stability: an excellent debt-to-GDP ratio, the shekel is still a strong currency, unemployment is relatively low, and high-tech is still flourishing," Reich stated.
Expansion into Provident Funds
Discussing Ayalon's recent strategic moves, Reich noted the successful entry into the provident fund market. The firm has attracted over 1,000 agents and generated more than 2 billion shekels in capital inflows, reflecting a strong market demand for professional institutional players.
Addressing the influx of young retail investors into the capital markets, Reich sounded a note of caution regarding potential market downturns. He emphasized the importance of risk awareness among novice investors who have yet to experience a sharp market correction.
The Vital Role of Insurance Agents
Looking at the insurance sector, Reich dismissed earlier predictions that digital applications would replace human agents. Instead, he underscored that agents remain more vital than ever in navigating complex policies and providing comprehensive financial envelopes for clients.
