Air Haifa announced the launch of a new flight route from Ben Gurion Airport to Ramon Airport, offering an introductory one-way fare of 79 NIS. This price is 20 NIS lower than the 99 NIS subsidized rate currently offered by Israir to residents of Eilat and the Eilot region under a Ministry of Transport tender.

The sales opened today, Sunday, with flights scheduled to begin on October 25. The introductory fare is available for flights in both directions, subject to seat availability, and thousands of tickets have been made available in the booking system. The flights will operate from Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport using ATR 72-600 aircraft.

While Israir's subsidized route costs the state an estimated 10 million NIS annually and requires operating at least five daily flights with up to 40 seats allocated per flight for eligible residents, Air Haifa is offering its promotional pricing without any government subsidies or dedicated tenders. However, the airline noted that the 79 NIS rate is an introductory launch price and may not become the permanent tariff.

The launch of the Eilat route is part of the expansion of Air Haifa's operations as the company marks two years since its founding. According to the airline, it has transported 600,000 passengers and operated 10,000 flights during this period.
