Avinatan Or, who was abducted to the Gaza Strip alongside his then-partner Noa Argamani on October 7, has spoken out for the first time about their breakup in an interview with Ilana Dayan on Keshet 12's program "Uvda".

"In the end, we both went through a lot over these two years, each of us changed in our own way, and things that might have fit once, no longer fit today. So it's over. And it's okay that it's over. And we are moving forward — each on their own path," Or said.

About six months ago, Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or, whose story of captivity and heroism touched an entire country and the whole world, decided to part ways. Sources confirmed that the two ended their relationship several months ago, but at their request and for reasons of privacy, the breakup was not made public until now.

The two, who were abducted together from the "Nova" party in Re'im on October 7, 2023, were brutally separated moments after the kidnapping. The footage showing Noa being taken on a motorcycle while screaming toward Avinatan was etched into the collective memory and became one of the symbols of the atrocities of that black Saturday.

Argamani was rescued from the Gaza Strip in Operation Arnon in June 2024, while Or was released as part of the final hostage deal of the war in October 2025. In March 2026, it was published that the two had separated.
