Galilee Resident Arrested for Arraba Shooting After Hiding in School

Police and National Guard forces arrested a 41-year-old resident of Arraba in the Galilee on Sunday evening on suspicion of shooting at a house and a vehicle in the locality.

The suspect was captured minutes after the incident during searches conducted in the area belonging to the opposing party in a local dispute. He had attempted to hide inside a local school, and a concealed handgun and ammunition magazines were subsequently discovered nearby.

Authorities launched an investigation which revealed that the shooting stemmed from a local conflict. The suspect was transferred for further questioning at the police station, alongside a 23-year-old resident of Arraba who was arrested at his home. All findings were forwarded for forensic evidence processing by the Israel Police laboratories, while the suspects were released under restrictive conditions as the investigation continues.
