After the arrest: Ofek Adanek with 3 songs in the Hitlist top ten
Ofek Adanek has gone through weeks full of upheavals after being arrested on suspicion of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, but he is flourishing in the musical arena with three songs in the top ten of the Israeli chart. Everything happening in music in Israel that you must know.

"Eich SheHi Rokedet" ("How She Dances"), the huge hit by Agam Buhbut, Ofek Adanek, and Eden Hason, still hasn't moved from the top of Israel's official music chart after long weeks in first place. In fact, this week Adanek is breaking his own records: at the beginning of this summer, he had never reached the top of the Hitlist, and now he has three songs in the top five of the chart:
-
"Eich SheHi Rokedet" — 1st place
-
"Yotzet Min HaKlal" ("Exceptional") with Liad Meir — 3rd place
-
"Kvar Lo Sameach" ("No Longer Happy") with Ofek Hantzis — 5th place
This impressive achievement comes precisely against the backdrop of a scandal: about a week and a half ago, Adanek was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend, Hadas Masori. In the past week, he was released from house arrest, and a decision regarding the case will be brought in the coming days. Since then, Adanek has returned to performing, taking the stage at a hip-hop festival held at the Jaffa Port. "He was full of energy, as happy as can be to return to the stage," said people who were present at the scene.
Did the storm surrounding Adanek harm him, or, as happens many times, did it actually bring him into the consciousness of listeners? It is hard to say for sure. Among other news, there is a new guest in the Hitlist top ten: Bar Tzabari. Tzabari entered with "Yalda Meturefet" ("Crazy Girl") to 8th place after 15 weeks in the chart. In addition, "HaMelech BaSadeh" ("The King in the Field"), the duet of Bar Tzabari and Shuli Rand, returns to the chart about a year after its release, entering at 55th place.
Meanwhile, just below the top ten, Ness and Stilla continue to climb: "Monologue" reaches 15th place this week. Ness and Stilla currently have two songs in the chart, and we have a feeling that when their recently announced debut album is released, we will see a lot more of them.
And if we are already counting songs, the "Queen of Roses" Eden Ben Zaken can currently boast four songs in total in the Hitlist:
-
"Rolex VeKasket" ("Rolex and Cap") — 10th place
-
"Machol" ("Dance") with Sasson Shaulov — 23rd place
-
"BeSivuv HaBa" ("In the Next Round") — 33rd place
-
"Loop SheLo Nigmar" ("A Loop That Doesn't End") — 34th place
This week, Ben Zaken is closing a round of three performances at the Menora Arena, and we expect to feel the impact of this series of performances next week as more of her songs join the chart. Get ready.
New entries to the chart: Yair Elayzur — "Rabbi Nachman" (58th place), DJ Goja — "Mi Chico" (71st place).
