Anne Hathaway Chooses Knicks Championship Over Another Oscar With Jimmy Fallon
Oscar winner Anne Hathaway chose a New York Knicks championship over another Academy Award during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's talk show, highlighting her lifelong fandom.

Anne Hathaway already has an Oscar, but if you ask her whether she would prefer another golden statuette or a New York Knicks championship, her answer is crystal clear. The New York-born actress and lifelong Knicks fan appeared on Jimmy Fallon's talk show and played a game where she had to choose between two things, effectively giving one up forever.
Fallon presented her with two options: "another Oscar win" and "another Knicks championship." Hathaway didn't say a word; she simply set aside the card bearing the Oscar statuette, prompting applause and cheers from the studio audience. "The way my nervous system responds to that choice is intense," she said with a smile.
Her choice comes a few months after the Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 4:1 in the NBA Finals to win their first championship in 53 years. Hathaway won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2013 for her role in Les Misérables, but her love for the Knicks is evidently just as strong.
Later in the show, Fallon presented her with an autographed jersey from OG Anunoby. "Are you serious? Oh my god," she reacted before putting it on. The Knicks also sent Hathaway, who is pregnant, a baby gift basket along with a card written by Anunoby reading, "All the best."
