Three men ambushed two brothers in their 30s in Or Akiva on Wednesday, assaulting them with punches and knife stabs. One brother sustained serious injuries, while the second was moderately wounded. Magen David Adom paramedics provided on-site medical treatment before evacuating both victims to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center.

Within less than 24 hours, police officers from the Hadera station successfully tracked down the suspects and arrested them in Jerusalem. The suspects were transferred to the Hadera station for questioning, and authorities plan to request a custody extension as the investigation continues.

Later that same evening, a separate violent incident unfolded in the Yuval neighborhood of Or Akiva, where a powerful explosive device was placed near a residential building and a vehicle. Passersby spotted the device and alerted local authorities. Large police forces and sappers rushed to the scene, cordoned off the area, and safely neutralized the bomb.

Forensic investigators collected evidence at the site to identify those responsible for planting the device and the parties behind them. Police are currently investigating whether a connection exists between the explosive device and the earlier stabbing, suspecting both incidents stem from escalating local criminal tensions.
