The launch of the new AION UT electric vehicle in Israel is seeing strong demand right out of the gate. Within just 72 hours of opening sales, over 100 Israeli customers placed orders for the new model, positioned as both an urban and family electric car.

Pricing and Market Positioning

Pricing for the AION UT starts at 116,990 shekels for the BEAT trim level, while the high-end VIBE version is offered at 121,990 shekels. Elad Goldfarb, CEO of Orion Mobility, the official importer, stated that this represents an exceptional value proposition in the Israeli market, enabling buyers to acquire a vehicle without compromise at a price point not seen in years.

Designed specifically for the European market, the AION UT was styled at GAC's design center in Milan. Despite its urban dimensions, the vehicle offers substantial interior space, featuring a 2.75-meter wheelbase and a 1.35-meter wide rear bench. The cargo area provides flexible usage, reaching a volume of up to 1,600 liters with the rear seats folded down.

Technical Specifications and Safety

Mechanically, the model is equipped with a 204-horsepower electric motor and a Magazine Battery LFP battery pack from GAC. The maximum driving range reaches up to 430 km under the WLTP standard.

The AION brand is manufactured by GAC, one of China's largest automakers, which maintains long-standing partnerships with brands such as Toyota and Honda. In Israel, the brand is imported by the Union Group. The vehicle comes with a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km on the car, alongside an 8-year or 200,000 km warranty on the battery.
