Attacked and Robbed Women on a Scooter with a Minor in Holon: Indictment Filed

An indictment was filed on Monday at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court against a young man from Bat Yam and his minor accomplice for a series of assaults and thefts in Holon. According to the indictment, the two rode a scooter, ambushed women on the street, snatched their bags using force, and fled the scene.

The theft spree began about two weeks ago during the afternoon. A woman waiting for a bus at a station in Holon was attacked by Weizman and the minor. The indictment states that Weizman grabbed her bag forcefully, knocked her to the ground, and fled. The woman suffered injuries to her hand and elbow, and shortly thereafter, the two began using the credit card they had stolen from her.

On the same day, around 23:00, the two attacked another victim who was walking on Kaplan Street. They approached her, asked for forgiveness to distract her, pushed her violently, and took her bag. In this case as well, the defendants rushed to make transactions with the stolen credit card.

The third incident occurred the following evening. The two drove behind a woman and her husband on Yosef HaNasi Street, asked them to move aside to pass, then snatched the bag from the woman's shoulder and fled. About half an hour later, they were arrested on Dov Hoz Boulevard. During a search, the victim's mobile phone was found on the minor, and a kitchen knife with a red handle and a ski mask were discovered in the scooter's storage compartment.

Weizman is charged with joint assault for the purpose of robbery, credit card fraud, and possession of a knife. The prosecution demanded to extend his detention until the end of the proceedings, noting that he denied the acts during his interrogation but identified himself on security cameras and confirmed his acquaintance with the minor. The prosecution representatives explained that his release could endanger the public and emphasized that the actions could have ended with much more severe consequences.
