Israel FA Outraged Over Said Abu Farhi's Controversial Red Card

The Israel Football Association and national team officials expressed profound outrage on Friday over what they termed a severe injustice against striker Said Abu Farhi and the squad.
Sources within the IFA strongly criticized the referee for issuing two yellow cards that resulted in Abu Farhi's controversial expulsion during the match.
"Both yellow cards were entirely incorrect. Even the first one was undeserved," a senior IFA official stated. "An Austrian player, significantly larger than Said, shoved, pulled, and knocked him to the turf during a corner kick. The referee took the easy way out and booked both players. That was the first mistake.
"And the second yellow? Is that grounds for a sending-off? What did he even do? Celebrate a goal with a snooker or billiards cue gesture? How can anyone justify a second yellow for that? A grave injustice was committed against Said and the team. The association holds no blame whatsoever toward him."
Despite the setback, the IFA remains fully united behind head coach Ran Ben Shimon as preparations begin for the upcoming fixture against Ireland.
"All our energy is now focused on the match against Ireland and the remaining games," officials emphasized. "We are only after the first match. Without Said's expulsion, we would have won. We played well in the second half, equalized, and could have clinched the victory. The team can and will play much better moving forward."
