Following two losses in the Toto Cup and an injury to Adar Ratner, who is set for surgery and expected to be sidelined for two and a half months, Maccabi Petah Tikva announced on Friday the signing of Marko Rakonjac. The 26-year-old Montenegrin striker, who scored two goals in 14 appearances for Hapoel Jerusalem since January, has arrived in Israel to reunite with coach Ziv Arie.

Defender Muhammad Hindi did not participate in the first Toto Cup match and is not in the new coach's plans. Noam Shoham's Hapoel Kfar Shalem, who coached the Petah Tikva side last season, wants to bring him back to the National League.
